Hi there!
My name is Philipp, I’m a Designer and former Social Worker and I founded KnowDrugs in 2016.
My app supports outreach workers and people who use drugs, by informing about recent pill warnings, providing information on psychoactive substance and how to reduce their harms.
People who decide to use drugs – despite their risks – are encouraged to research effects, interactions and dosage ranges of psychoactive substances before consuming them.

Enable people who decided to take drugs to make informed decisions and help them reduce the harms associated with drugs.

Our Story
How We Got Started
The absence of drug checking programmes in Germany, and the inefficiency of pill warning printouts, I started researching about the problems and needs of people using drugs in recreational settings.

Since it’s launch in mid-2016, the KnowDrugs App has been downloaded more than 200.000 times. It is being used by people from almost every country in the world.
Constantly learning from users and harm-reduction workers from the field, I am trying to improve the way KnowDrugs helps users
