Substances
Buprenorphine

A semi-synthetic opioid analgesic also known as subutex. Often administered as Butrans patches, or in combination with Naloxone as Suboxone, a heroin replacement therapy drug. Buprenorphine blocks the effects of other opiates (e.g. morphine, codeine drugs, heroin). Using Heroin after taking Buprenorphine will not lead to any effects. Using Buprenorphine after taking Heroin without waiting at least 8 hours induces withdrawal symptoms immediately.
