Buprenorphine molecular scheme

A semi-synthetic opioid analgesic also known as subutex. Often administered as Butrans patches, or in combination with Naloxone as Suboxone, a heroin replacement therapy drug. Buprenorphine blocks the effects of other opiates (e.g. morphine, codeine drugs, heroin). Using Heroin after taking Buprenorphine will not lead to any effects.
